London's Most Female Street
Exclusively female - all the shops seem to be aimed at women
Location: Sloane Street, Knightsbridge, London, SW1X
Description: This street is almost exclusively female - all the shops seem to be aimed at the female of the species. It has spawned the endearing term 'Sloane Rangers' for the lovely young ladies who frequent it.
Sloane Street takes its name from Sir Hans Sloane, who purchased the surrounding area in 1712. Many of the properties in the street still belong to his descendents the Earls Cadogan, via their company Cadogan Estates.
