Description: Found in the roof of an English baroque church, this grusome delight is a surviving example of a 19th century operating theatre, where students would watch operations take place on unanaesthetised patients.

The museum includes a fascinating collection of objects revealing the horrors of medicine before the age of science - including instruments for cupping, bleeding, trepanning, and child-birth.
