Non-Roman Bath

Non-Roman Bath

Off Surly St, behind King's College, a historical plunge pool.

Location: 5 Strand Lane, London, WC2R 2LS

Description: Just off Surly Street and behind King's College, neither Roman nor a bath, the plunge pool has been mentioned in records since the 18th century and Dickens actually wrote about it in 'David Copperfield'...although whether it is if Roman origin is another matter. Fascinating all the same!
