A Horse and a Pint
Now a Pub, Jodhpurs are not compulsory attire
Location: Knightsbridge Green, SW1X 7QA
Description: Tattersalls (formerly spelled with an apostrophe) is the main auctioneer of race horses in the United Kingdom and the Republic of Ireland.
Founded in 1766 by Richard Tattersall (1724-1795), who had been stud groom to the second Duke of Kingston, the first premises occupied were near Hyde Park Corner, in what was then the outskirts of London.
And so to this London pub, yes that's right, the 'Tattersalls Tavern' is on the actual site of these original premises and of course named after the famous horse bloodstock auctions.
And for all that equestrian stock draped in horse history...it's probably worth a visit, jodhpurs are not compulsory attire!
