Makepeace not Injury

A stuntman's mishap causes a lot of pain but no second take
Location: Tower Bridge, SE1
Description: 'Dempsey & Makepeace' (1985-86) was a British television crime drama made by London Weekend Television for ITV. The leading roles were played by Michael Brandon (Dempsey) and Glynis Barber (Makepeace).
The premise of Dempsey & Makepeace was the oddball pairing of two police detectives: an elegant English noblewoman, Sgt. (Lady) Harriet Makepeace, and a streetwise working-class New Yorker, Lt. James Dempsey, both working for an elite and armed unit of the London Metropolitan Police - a sort of The Persuaders! meet The Professionals.
Filmed across London, an episode in the first series titled 'Make Peace Not War' (1984) was shot on Tower Bridge, in fact a stunt specialist actually broke two of his ribs filming the final scene after falling from bridge to the river below - ouch!.
Luckily the scene was well taken at first and now second shot was required...lucky chap!
