Location: 71 Long Lane, London, EC1A 9EJ

Description: This pub was built in 1854 but looks a lot older. We've just heard it's now called The Long Lane.

The rumour here is that the ghost of former landlord Dick O'Shea would be seen sitting in the upper part of the public house, looking down at the drinkers below. No reports since 1981, unless you know different! However, it's unlikely to have been Dick - he didn't pass on until 1996 (thanks Richard).

One of the best Poirot's Peter Ustinov was a regular here.
