Description: The Portobello Hotel was founded in 1971, by Tim and Cathy Herring, designed by Julie Hodgess and is run by managing partner Johnny Ekperigin, along with the equally famous Julie's restaurant.

Room 16 is the room to have - it's where Kate Moss and Johnny Depp filled the bath - a famous Victorian bathing machine - with Champagne. Rocker Alice Cooper kept his snakes in this bath when he stayed.

The bed is equally famous - 8ft circular bed - the one Robbie Williams tried to buy after his stay in this room.

Goth film director Tim Burton and friend flooded the floor by leaping from the bed into the bath and back again.

Van Morrison allegedly wrote an album here and a ragbag of names from the world of rock, fashion and film, from Mick Jagger to Raquel Welch, have fallen asleep in this very cosy, decadent, eccentric, shabby-chic room.
