Advancing Geography

Advancing Geography

Since 1830, they've been advancing geographical science

Location: 1 Kensington Gore, SW7 2AR

Description: London has it all, style, fashion, architecture, celebs, transport, ITV, Borough Market... I could go on... and it's also got 'Geography'!

The 'Royal Geographical Society' is the learned society and professional body for geography. Formed in 1830, the Royal Charter of 1859 is for 'the advancement of geographical science.

Today, they deliver this objective through developing, supporting and promoting geographical research, expeditions and fieldwork, education, public engagement, and geography input to policy. And aim to foster an understanding and informed enjoyment of our world.

Holding the world's largest private geographical collection and public access to it, they have a thriving Fellowship and membership and offer the professional accreditation 'Chartered Geographer'.

Excellent - lets rock!
