Location: 34 Montagu Square, Marylebone, WH2
Description: So picture the scene...
It's 1968, a Friday, the 18th October to be exact - and John Lennon and Yoko Ono are are living at Ringo Starr's basement flat... at this very location.
It's 11.30am and suddenly a Sergeant Norman Pilcher decides to bust the joint, of course with Police colleagues, and busted the pair for drug possession.
If only John had taken this warning in hand before he became more and more invloved in Heroin abuse.
On the night of 8 December 1980, at around 10:49 p.m., Mark David Chapman shot Lennon in the back four times in the entrance of the Dakota apartment building, New York. Earlier that evening, Lennon had autographed a copy of Double Fantasy for Chapman who had been stalking Lennon since October.
In October 2010 this building was awarded a blue plaque.
