Sex Pistols vs Graham Chapman
Shout at this one as if you've been struck by a thunderbolt
Location: 37 Highgate Street, N6 5JT
Description: And so it was back in the late 1960s that one Graham Chapman - of 'Monty Python's Flying circus' fame - was taking a drink in this very pub, 'The Angel' (in which he became a regular), when a meeting of peforming minds met!
He would often visit the pub to sit with a group of regulars and do The Times crossword - on other occassions he would taunt the odd seminal punk band who would turn up at the local...
Indeed, Graham did cause a bit of a stir when he had a go at The Sex Pistols, challenging them to be abusive and blasphemous, before pointing at a guy and shouting 'Are you frightened?'...
And then saying 'Shout at this one as if you've been struck by a thunderbolt!'... and they just couldn't do it.
What a man young Graham was!
