Description: Quercus are the small time publisher who struck it massive with their publication of Stieg Larsson's Millennium trilogy of dark crime thrillers: 'The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo'.

Chief executive Mark Smith said the first book was not an immediate hit and he initially resorted to leaving copies on Tube trains and in the back of taxis to try and attract more readers.

Since then they have become a phenomenon selling more than 30m copies worldwide plus film rights have been sold.
