Charles Dickens Childhood Home
Once home to a very young Charles Dickens
Location: 16 Bayham Street, NW1
Description: And so to this very address... it's actually 141 Bayham Street now...but then it was number 16.
Charles Dickens lived here as a child on Bayham Street in Camden but sadly the house has since been demolished.
Luckily some bright spark decided to mark the location with a blue plaque, so that's good news.
'Charles John Huffam Dickens' (7 February 1812 to 9 June 1870) was the most popular English novelist of the Victorian era, and he remains popular, responsible for some of English literature's most iconic characters.
