Brockley Jack
The south London pub formerly run by a highwayman?
Location: 410 Brockley Road, Brockley
Description: Brockley Jack was the name given to this pub in 1863 to celebrate the local highwayman (Black) Jack Law. In some stories he was a frequenter, in some he was the publican, but details are sketchy.
Even the century he lived is under debate, probably 17th century.
It was rebuilt in 1898 and today it's a celebrated theatre/restaurant.
