Description: This is where William Bligh died on 6 December 1817. He was then buried in a distinct family plot at St. Mary's, Lambeth (This church is now the Garden Museum). The tomb features a distinctive breadfruit atop it.
A notorious mutiny occurred during his command of HMS Bounty in 1789; Bligh and his loyal men made a remarkable voyage to Timor, after being set adrift in the Bounty's launch by the mutineers.
