The Bull and Gate
Famous music venue hosted legendary gigs.
Location: 389 Kentish Town Road, Camden, NW5 2TJ
Description: The Bull and Gate pub and live music venue famously hosted Nirvana, Coldplay, Keane, Blur and Manic Street Preachers in their early days.
The Lynskey family owned the pub from 1979 and the landmark gig venue hosted the Timebox club from 1987 to 1992. In recent years, Club Fandango has fulfilled a similar function on the same stage.
Before being used a public house, the grade-II listed 17th Century building was traded as a launderette, snooker hall and a theatre.
In November 2011 it was put on the market for 2.7 million.
