Description: Born in Leytonstone February 26 1909 as Phyllis Pechey, Fanny Craddock went on to become one of Britain's first TV chefs, along with her brow-beaten husband, Johnny.
She was born and lived at the house 'Apthorp' on Fairlop Road until 1930; today the property is now called Fairwood Court.
