Description: This is where writer, critic and biographer Lytton Strachey, who wrote Eminent Victorians, (1918) lived here between 1909-24.
A founding member of the Bloomsbury Group, he spent the last sixteen years of his life in a mnage a trois with painter Dora Carrington and her husband Ralph Partridge.
His 1921 biography of Queen Victoria won the James Tait Black Memorial Prize.
