Description: Canadian-born painter and writer Wyndham Lewis (1882-1957) lived here between 1923 and 1926.

They published a fierce critical art magazine called BLAST! It sent shockwaves through the artistic establishment in Bloomsbury, setting off a feud of sorts. He once claimed that Roger Fry and Clive Bell (Bloomsbury Group) were spying on him from the roof here.
He became prolific here I work incessantly, I am never in bed before 2, or often later. he wrote in a letter to T.S. Eliot from this house. Eliot called him the most fascinating personality of our time.
