Historic Francis Holland School moves into the pub next door.

Description: The Francis Holland School operate two separate independent day schools for girls in Central London. Founded in 1878 by the Reverend Canon Francis Holland, and opened in Baker Street where it remained until 1915. The School then transferred to a new purpose built site near Clarence Gate.
The school has a memorable motto That Our Daughters May Be As The Polished Corners Of The Temple
Former pupils include Lady Sarah Armstrong-Jones, actress Amanda Donohoe, model Cara Delevingne, model Petra Ecclestone, fashion designer Tamara Ecclestone, TV presenter
Emilia Fox, actress Joyce Grenfell, actress Sienna Miller, novelist and biographer Nancy Mitford, and violinist Vanessa-Mae.
Author Jackie Collins OBE attended and when her teachers discovered her selling her self-penned dirty limericks to fellow pupils at a penny a time, and instalments of her passionate saga Letters from Bobby, Jackie was asked to leave. I was finally expelled after they caught me smoking behind a tree on the lacrosse pitch, she wrote in her autobiography.
