The The and the classic DUSK
Classic The The album 'Dusk' was mixed at these studios
Location: 31-37 Whitfield Street, W1T 2SF
Description: 'The The' are an English musical and multimedia group that have been active in various forms since 1979, with singer/songwriter Matt Johnson being the only constant band member.
'Dusk' is the 5th album by The The, recorded in 1992 and released by Sony Records in January 1993. The album peaked at number 2 in the UK, and at number 142 in America. In 2002 the album was reissued in remastered form on CD.
Johnny Marr played on this record - guitar, harmonica, backing vocal - and it was recorded 'live', yes that's live at The War Room.
And quite simply it is a beautiful, tender, mind-blowing piece of musical enjoyment - a 'classic album.
Whitfield Street Studios, which it is now known, was called 'The Hit Factory' in 1992 - and this is where 'Dusk' was mixed!
Go buy this album on CD or vinyl, look at the cover, look at the artwork, listen, and enjoy!
