Graffiti found here in 2011 after wallpaper was removed was written by Sex Pistols frontman Johnny Rotten in 1975 when they lived here. After their landlord decorated Rotten thought hed add his own touches, and it is said now that they may be of greater significance than the discovery of early Beatles recordings. Rotten, born John Lydon, drew on the walls of the bands London flat in 1975 after disliking a recent redecoration. A paper in the journal Antiquity is suggesting the flat is an important historical and archaeological site. (Pistolette Pete)
