The splendid classical Anglican Allom church in Kensington.

Description: St Peter's Notting Hill is a Victorian Anglican church designed by architect Thomas Allom in 1855 and completed in 1857.
The splendid classical style church is listed Grade II* and features elaborate and gilded In 2021 complete restoration and refurbishment was completed including the re-instatement of its redundant gallery and new meeting rooms.
Check out the three panels in the galleries ornamented with the Keys of St Peter, floral swags and winged putti.
In 1879 the church was enlarged by the addition of an apsidal chancel, which has double arches supported on Corinthian columns of Torquay red marble (reputedly costing just 48 each).
The wall of the apse is decorated with an 1880 Venetian mosaic of Leonardo da Vinci's Last Supper, by Burke & Salviati.
