G Kelly opened in 1938 and hasn't really changed that much since. Fitted out with marble counters, the establishment serves up meat pie and mash - and if that's not enough in this time of 'fast food burger nonsense' - to follow you can order fruit pies for pud.

With it all served on thick, white china plates at communal tables... this may just be the home of comfort food.
