Description: This is where actor, clown and comedian Tony Hancock (1924-1968) lived from 1947 to 1948.

Comedian Ernie Wise unveiled the plaque here in May 1992 and it was sponsored by the Dead Comic Society.

The comedian who suffered from chronic alcoholism died from overdose at his shared home in Sydney, Australia at the age of just 44.
