Location: 12 New Street, EC2M 4TP
Description: You will find 'The Magpie' in Bishopsgate London within a short stroll of Liverpool Street Station, Bishopsgate and Houndsditch.
A unique character and a fascinating past, the site of the pub was an ambulance station at the beginning of the 20th Century, but its place in history was secured when one of the first electric ambulances was stationed here in 1909.
At night time and Sundays this one vehicle served the entire city!
And it also has some cinematic legs...it was the local pub for coppers in Basic Instinct 2!
