Description: Faces and acclaimed singer Roderick David 'Rod' Stewart was born here above his parents newsagents shop, on January 10, 1945. Both parents were Scottish and it's thought that Rodney was changed at the last minute to Roderick.

It is claimed that just 30 minutes before Rod was born, a German V2 rocket scored a direct hit on a police station close to the Stewart family home here.

One of his biographies details that Rod played with his model railway here. He had 2 brothers and 2 sisters all at least 8 years older than Rod and all born in Scotland before they settled here in Highgate.
