Description: The 5-star Royal Garden Hotel is a five-star luxury hotel that opened in 1965. A year later it was an official hotel for the FIFA World Cup 1966.
It has also hosted the Euro 96 Championships, the Cricket World Cup 1999 and the ICC Champions Trophy 2004. Thus it has become the international sportsperson's London hotel of choice.
Sir Bobby Charlton and many of todays talented football stars have all stayed at the hotel as well as leading Japanese sumo wrestlers and international rugby and cricket teams, including most recently the England Rugby Team and the current Rugby World Champions, South Africa.
In the sixties after opening many celebrities stayed here including Sonny and Cher, Abba and The Monkees. Peter Sellars rented the penthouse for a long while as well.
The penthouse and rooftop overlooks Kensington Palace and Gardens, Hyde Park, the capital's rooftops and colourful mews houses.
