Description: This is where independent record label Small Wonder Records used to be.
The shop and punk rock label were owned and managed by Pete and Mari Stennett, releasing songs by include Bauhaus, Crass, The Cure, The Cravats, Patrik Fitzgerald, Puncture, Cockney Rejects, The Carpettes, Poison Girls and Angelic Upstarts.
Their logo, became famous, featuring a well-dressed Edwardian family; with the mother bring white and the father and vicar black, and their baby mixed race.
The early Cure single Killing an Arab/10:15 Saturday Night (later re-released on Fiction records), is a seminal single.
The blue plaque finally went up in October 2021.
