Description: What it can't be true... but it is!

Savoy Court outside the Savoy Hotel on the Strand is indeed to the only place in London where London traffic is obliged to drive on the right hand side of the road.

Historically this ruling made it easier for carriages to set people down at the adjoining Savoy Theatre, and so ladies in long dresses did not have to cross the road. It also meant that the hotel entrance never got blocked...but that's just not 'glam' enough a fact!
