Spectacular mural of a massive feathered crane off Brick Lane.

Location: 49 Hanbury Street, Stepney, E1 5JP

Description: In an long-forgotten side road from Brick Lane, a mural with wings was born. Belgian artist Peter Roa came to Shoreditch and painted an astonishing bird in about 8 hours in April of 2010.

Six Oranges filmed this feat as part of their documentary on Brick Lane and art. Here's a teaser for that documentary:



In 2012 it was covered by a banner for the mayor of Tower Hamlets to much local furore.
