Battersea Bridge

Battersea and London's most dangerous bridge!
Location: Battersea Bridge, Chelsea
Description: Battersea Bridge is the second bridge across the Thames here in Chelsea, originally replacing a ferry service.
The first bridge was a wooden toll bridge which lasted from 1771 to 1885, which is amazing with it being wooden and remarkably dangerous to both traffic on the bridge and river traffic under it.
The new Grade II listed bridge by Sir Joseph Bazalgette remains the narrowest surviving road bridge over the Thames in London.
It's at an awkward place on the bend in the river and as such is the scene of many collisions on the river.
