Description: The Institute of Contemporary Arts (The ICA) is an artistic and cultural centre on The Mall featuring galleries, a theatre, two cinemas, a bookshop and a bar.
Founded in 1946, the ICA is a membership institute that promotes and encourages an understanding of radical art and culture via a vibrant programme of exhibitions, films, talks and events.
Adam and the Ants played in the restaurant in their first ever gig by pretending to be a country band in 1977. After one song they pulled the plug,and they reconvened in the theatre next door.
