Description: This narrow wedge-shaped pub built around 1875 is jammed against the railway line at Blackfriars. It's built on the site of a thirteenth century Dominican Priory, which gives the area its name and was the inspiration for the pubs design. It's crammed full of carvings and illustrations of monks at play, harvesting, singing, and more - it's everywhere!
