Location: Du Cane Court, Balham, SW17

Description: Now this really is Europe's largest purpose built block of flats - on Balham High Road in South London.

It is also said to have been designed by a Nazi sympathiser before the war, and to look like a swastika from the air.

That said, Balham's tube stop was the only one to be hit during the blitz... go figure!
