Description: While this dodgy old public house was undergoing major rebuilding work in the 1970's, the remains of two bodies were recovered from beneath it - the sounds that followed, coming from the building late at night convinced many the dead didn't appreciate being disturbed.

The pub is now renowned as a classic East End typical strip pub.
