Does is Matter?
London's newest Superclub - and it's pretty 'super'
Location: Drawdock Road, SE10 0BB
Description: Well it seems it probably does...
Bring on London's newest Superclub - the 2600 capacity venue called 'matter', is one of the first purpose built music venues to be erected in London since the Royal Albert Hall in 1871.
Built under the dome of the 02 Arena (at last a reason for it being...) - it has 2 floors, a moving dance floor, a VIP area and get this... a VVIP area - how bizarre!
Designed from scratch it can operate as a live venue, club, performing arts space or indeed a VIP club, with own entrance... all at once!
And so the the facts:
1. 32,737 sq ft in size
2. 15 minutes from 'matter' to London Bridge by Thames Clpper taxi
3. 82 lavatories
4. 80 pistons operating the moving dance floor
And in conclusion, Shady advises you have a mooch around there while it's still financially viable!
