Description: Irish actor Wilfrid Brambell (19121985) lived here in the basement flat from the early 1960's until his death in 1985.
He is most famous for playing old man Steptoe in classic television sitcom Steptoe and Son.
He worked with The Beatles in their film A Hard Day's Night, playing Paul McCartney's fictional grandfather.
In 1966 he played Ebenezer Scrooge in a musical version of A Christmas Carol.
