Location: Highbury Mansions, Upper Street, Islington, N1 2XF
Description: Comedy duo Mike and Bernie Winters spent their early years here in a 1st floor flat.
Mike had been born in Tottenham in 1930 and aged two they moved here to Islington where his younger brother Bernie was born in the Salvation Army Maternity Hopsital near Old Street on 6th September 1933.
Bernie weighed 14 pounds when born and was nicknamed 'Primo' by nurses after Primo Carnera, then the world heavyweight boxing champion.
