The ladies only swimming pond in Hampstead Heath.

Location: Hampstead Heath, off Millfield Lane, Highgate

Description: Kenwood Ladies' Pond is the most northerly pond on the east of Hampstead Heath just off Millfield Lane. It's the only pond on Hampstead Heath reserved solely for ladies' swimming and is open to all ladies and girls aged over 8 years old.

The former 18th century reservoir became ladies only in 1926 after ladies had little access to a safe place to bathe in the early 20th century.

All lifeguards are also female.
