The London Eye

The London Eye

The BA London Eye is London's most popular filming location.

Location: Thames Path, Southbank, SE1

Description: It is official - as of Monday July 2nd 2007, London's very own giant 'gerbil wheel', the BA London Eye, was honoured as a tourist destination second to none...

The 443ft wheel which opened in 2000 headed a top table and took the main prize - 'Europe's Top Tourist Attraction'. And what an amazing construction it is, thank the lord we don't have a gerbil to match.

In the same online travel firm 'TripAdvisor' survey, the 'Tower of London' came in a deserved second place. London...what a gaff!

And as of Red Nose Day 2011, the Eye was given a red capsule to honour the day of charity fund raising.

The BA London Eye is London's most popular filming location, followed by Battersea Park and the Millennium Bridge (2005). So apart from a cracking view from the top and a spectacle in itself...you may also see some of Hollywood's A-List as you wind round!
