Ripper Murder of Annie Chapman
Murder of the Rippers second victim Annie Chapman happened here.
Location: 29 Hanbury Street, Whitechapel
Description: The second victim of the Ripper, Annie Chapman, was found in the early hours of Saturday September 8th 1888 in the back yard of the house at 29 Hanbury Street. She had been suffocated, throat cut and most of her insides had been removed and placed on her shoulder. An expert surgeon would have been required to do such clinical precision in the dark in a short amount of time.
