Description: The Mother Black Cap...indeed, was used in the fabulous film 'Withnail & I' that saw Richard E Grant and Paul McGann play too aspiring and drug-addled actors. It was here that Paul McGann's character was scared witless by an Irishman and where a trip to the gents sends him into a fit of paranoia...I f**k arses !

As of Feb 2011, this pub has been unceremoniously demolished to make way for a block of flats later in 2011. Its last incarnation was as failed bar Babushka.
