Stockwell War Memorial Mural
A tribute to the war memorial and all things Stockwell
Location: Clapham Road
Description: Painted on the outside of a deep level shelter, this mural was painted in 2001 by Brian Barnes and local school children.
It references the war memorial and local stories and celebrities including Violet Szabo, Roger Moore (as 007)and Van Gogh.
Although a fairly recent mural, it has suffered from a lot of fading, perhaps as suggested by the artist, because of its location.
