Warner Brothers buys the home of Harry Potter

Location: Essex Lane, Leavesden, Watford

Description: This vast film studios complex recently bought (November 2010) by Warner Brothers is on the site of an old Rolls Royce factory, and is one of the few places in the UK where large scale productions can be made.

As well as numerous commercials and music videos, other films made in the vast converted hangars have included:

Leavesden comprises 500,000 square feet of stages, production offices and ancillary buildings, along with an 80-acre backlot.
