Kaspar the Cat fights Evil

Kaspar the Cat fights Evil

Strand Hotel's lucky cat that keeps Evil spirits at bay

Location: Savoy Hotel, The Strand

Description: The Savoy Hotel has a superstition regarding the number of guests at dinner.

If there are thirteen then a wooden carved cat named Kaspar is given a setting alongside the guests wearing a white knapkin around his neck and a saucer of milk placed before him.

This takes the guest count to fourteen and keeps evil forces at bay.
