Description: Gaby's Deli near Leicester Square was opened by owner Gaby Elyahou in 1965 as a salt beef and falafel specialist. Today fans include Lauren Laverne, thesp Simon Callow, actress Miriam Margolyes, director Mike Leigh, Blur bassist Alex James, and actress Vanessa Redgrave.
It is also claimed that it was also visited by Charlie Chaplin!
In September 2011 it was announced that it and 3 neighbours were to be evicted in 2012 by landlord the Marquess of Salisbury. A campaign by fans and theatre and entertainment stars ensued.
It seems it's fate is out of their hands.
