Description: 'Ealing Studios' is the oldest working film studio in the world and the only British studio that produces and distributes feature films as well as providing facilities.
Ealing has always defined the British Film Industry, the first screen version of Hamlet in 1912, through the 1940's and 1950's classics, The LadyKillers, The Lavender Hill Mob, Passport To Pimlico, and Kind Hearts and Coronets.
Over the past 15 years, Ealing Studios has produced 5 of the top 20 highest grossing British independent films in the UK including the St. Trinian's franchise.
Will Barker bought the White Lodge on Ealing Green in 1902 as a base for film making, and films have been made on the site ever since.
The Importance of Being Earnest (2002) and Shaun Of The Dead (2004) were also filmed here.
