This is where The Who guitarist John Entwistle got married.

Location: High Street, Woodland Avenue, Acton, W3 9BU

Description: This was the Congregational Church in Churchfield Road, which closed in 1976 after gradual declining attendances led to the amalgamation of two Baptist churches, the Congregationalists and Wesleyans agreeing to share premises.

Subsequently, and after it was Grade II listed, the church was modernised, remodelled and capacity reduced to 650 from more than 1000.

Bass Guitarist for The Who, John Entwistle married his first wife (Alison Wise) here on 23rd June 1967.
