A car-park with some serious acting crudentials

Location: Cumberland Gate, Marble Arch, W1K 7TY

Description: The Ipcress File is a 1965 British espionage film directed by Sidney J. Furie and starring Michael Caine, and based on Len Deighton's 1962 novel. It has won critical acclaim and a BAFTA award for best British film. In 1999 it was included at number 59 on the BFI list of the 100 best British films of the twentieth century.

And so to this location, the famous exchange where scientist Redcliff is given back for hard cash was filmed in a car-park under Hyde Park in London.

The car-park still exists and is called the Marble Arch car-park. Nothing much has changed really except for better lighting and some bright colours. There are several entrances but the main (car)entrance is at Park Lane.
