Description: This is the only pub in England licensed to sell US and UK postage stamps.

Captain Christopher Jones moored his ship nearby before sailing to America with the Pilgrim Fathers. Legend claims he washed down a pint at the pub before and after his voyage.

It was back in 1620, a certain ship carrying certain Pilgrim Fathers (as they became to the nation they spawned) left the wharf outside this pub bound for America. Yes, that's right - the Mayflower set sail from right here, a journey that was to result in the USA.
